#3 Plot Alert

Hi guys! So The Forest is a free form rpg, meaning you guys have pretty much all the control over what happens here in rp. You get to make your own plots and turn down plots if you wish, however, to me just having "little plots" between a few characters or so can get boring.

The solution to that is to have site-wide IC events and plots going on to keep interest here. I want you guys' feedback to this idea, and also to the plot I'll be proposing below. If you don't like anything, or think something should be added or changed, let me know! ^^

This plot will likely take place after both of the gods have role players.

Future Plot #1

A strange entity has entered the forest, looking for its own souls to cultivate and bring to its own world. The entity does not take a physical form, and instead appears in its floating soul form. Many creatures are deceived by the beautiful but deadly soul at first, and are whisked away to whatever world awaits them.

Meanwhile, Estreya and Rottair take note of this entity and go into hiding. From experience they know these kinds of souls can be vicious, and have the ability not to destroy but devour them. They realize now they must appoint a guardian or two to defend the forest. Doing so will be very risky for them because they have the chance of being found.

With the risk in mind, they both part ways with their mission in check. Estreya will be looking to find a creature that can defend the spiritual realm of the forest, while Rottair will look for a creature that can defend the physical realm. The gods will look into every creature's soul they see to determine if any would make great guardians. Estreya will be looking at smaller, weaker animals because typically they have higher mental strength, which is what is needed to defend The Forest's spiritual realm. Rottair will be looking for strong physical creatures because likewise, they are great at defending the physical realm.

Once the guardians are found, they will transcend among the gods by agreeing to be killed. They will then return to The Forest in their new spiritual forms, and find the shadowy soul that is causing so much harm. The spiritual guardian will confront and try to devour the shadow soul, but if it decides to enter its physical form, the physical guardian will be waiting for it.

Being such recently transcended souls, the new guardians will have phenomenal strength. They will have no problems devouring the shadow soul. By devouring more and more entities that try to corrupt or take over the forest, they will keep that phenomenal strength as well.

And as a little added bonus, I could make a Corruption Potion as a new item. (: This potion will corrupt whatever character takes it. The character's physical form will turn completely shadowy and solid black, with glowing red, blue, or white eyes. The personality of the character will be erratic, as if the character has multiple personality disorder, but that's just the corruption that's in the character's soul. Some characters who have greater mental strength, however, can beat the "personality disorder" effects that come with taking the potion.

Corrupted characters have the power to leave their physical forms for as long as they wish. They can take over recently deceased characters' bodies before Rottair teleports the body away as well (with the RPer's consent of course if it isn't an NPC character)

• The guardians will overlook corrupted characters because they aren't that great a threat.
• The Corruption Potion will be rare just like the Tainted Potion.

How does this plot and new item sound? ^^ The new guardians will be decided on out of character, then this all will be role played. I was thinking for the spiritual guardian, something like an owl. For the physical guardian, probably something strong like a bear? These characters will be "gods" of The Forest, just like Estreya and Rottair.
