Name: Wishmaster Gender: XY Species: Whitetail Deer Age: 5
Appearance: Stands forty-five inches at the shoulder. Weighs around 225 lbs. Pitch black fur completely lacking white markings. Dark brown eyes. 20 points, 26.5 inch inside spread. Small scar several inches above the joint in his left hind leg from a bullet; said bullet is still inside of him, making the already noticeable scar tissue bulge even more. Personality: Brave, typically unafraid (but still sensible), knows when to pick his battles and when to fold, would rather avoid confrontation. History: A buck from Earth, that unlike many of his sex, managed to reach (more or less) physical and mental maturity. He did conform during his first breeding season, chasing does and sparring with other bucks. The result is the bullet lodged inside of his left hind leg. After being shot by a hunter while courting a rather lovely doe, Wishmaster gave up on breeding. He spent his time training and adventuring instead.
One skill that he paid special attention to was stealth. His inky black pelt wasn't as good for camouflage as the typical brown, so the young deer had to put extra effort into hiding from predators, humans, and even other deer. While it did not seem to bother does, other males seemed particularly bothered by his coat. His "specialness" might lure their does away. Because of this, they bullied him mercilessly. Wishmaster gave up on living anywhere near his own kind by the end of his third year. He settled in a relatively empty (deer-wise) area where he could live in peace.
Wishmaster was finally able to do as he wished. Two years of calm isolation passed in the blink of his eye. At the start of his fifth year, it all changed. A doe wandered into his territory. She was nothing special in terms of appearance - her fur was gray-brown with the typical white markings, her body graceful and compact. What piqued his curiosity was the fact that she was alone. Neither buck nor doe traveled at her side. He approached her one afternoon and struck up a conversation. The two got along from the start.
Her name was Applejack. She had been born on a sort of "deer farm," where humans raised a herd on a fenced plot of land. She didn't know exactly why. All Applejack knew was that, when she saw other humans walking along with her caretakers, one of the herd would disappear. Even as a fawn she knew that she didn't want to live with that kind of worry. When a chance presented itself, she escaped.
Applejack and Wishmaster lived together for a few weeks, just enjoying the feeling of each other's company. Unfortunately they were separated during a storm. Wishmaster woke up here, alone. He roams the forest in search of Applejack, hoping to find her safe and sound.
