(Rihtiel) "Without order nothing can exist - without chaos nothing can evolve." "God , damnit!” The red fox screamed into the afternoon air. This was the eighth time, yes he counted, he had fallen into a mud pit and had the thick mush shoved down his throat. The mud was nearly black from the masses of undergrowth that had collapsed into the pits and rotted. And not only that, but other animals defecated and urinated on this rotten pile, making it stink to high heaven. This vile mixture reeked so thickly in the air that Rih’s nose was all but useless. The suction cup pop sound that his paws made whenever he took a step was deafening to his sensitive ears, and now the sun was trading places with the moon, which would lead his eyes nowhere. Within a few hours he would be a blind, deaf, scentless whelp in the bayou with no one to aid him in finding shelter. So, the of took responsibility into his own paws and was searching for some solid ground so he could dig out some sort of make shift shelter that would last him the night. The fox refused to open his eyes though, he always had the desire to train himself to rely on everything but his eyes, since he was almost fully blind at this point.
“Damn this swamp, damn the sun, and damn you, Mother Nature!” Rihtiel screeched irritably, his hackles raising and his tail puffing up to show his anger. And just to spite him, Nature snagged his paws with some long loose brown grass, tripping him and sending him face first into another mud pit. "You loathsome, inconsiderate—" Then, a slur of profanities spilled from the fox as he lashed around in the mud, sputtering and coughing and swearing as he clawed the mud from his legs. “BITCH!” He shrieked, finally peeling his eyes open to take in the world around him. The sky was still blue, and only showed a hint of pink and red. Rih grumbled to himself as he leapt onto a fallen rotting log. There seemed like nothing but mud in all directions, mud and long bent over trees that had been weighted from the thick air and rain. There was practically nowhere to go, nowhere to take shelter.
It was just then did he look down at himself and cry out in distress. He had never been one to worry about personal hygiene, but he didn’t even look like a fox anymore. His fur was caked heavily in thick, black and brown mud, and from what he could see, there wasn’t an inch of him that wasn’t covered. “Mother Fuu— Are you kid— God Da— You cruel hearted bitch! Is this what you do to the handicap?” Rihtiel demanded, casting an irritated glance at the heavens. The fox stood and shook his body as hard as he possibly could, making himself dizzy in the process. He shook for a good solid minute before he headed his assault on his poor brain. Rih squinted through his blindness and shouldered his head to look at his backside. His fur was up at unnatural angles, and there was still a great deal of mud packed on and in his fur, but at least it was a bit better. The fox used his paw to scrape some mud off his face before taking in a deep breath. All he could smell was thick, nasty bayou and it made his stomach clench. He had to find shelter soon. Rihtiel turned and jumped off the log onto a patch of moss and continued his way through the mucky swamp, with his milky white eyes open. Reluctantly, he sought his way to safety with the help of his useless eyes.

The wind was whipping past his face, sweat dripping from his body as his nares flared, panicked and trying to draw in large, vast amounts of oxygen - as much as his overworked lungs could take. His legs, weak and shaking and nearly giving out, propelled him forward in bounds and leaps. He was running on pure adrenaline now, desperate to get away from the beast that pursued him. He could feel the warm breath of his enemy on his haunches, could feel the spit flying from the jaws of the mighty feline. He wasn't going to make it. This was it. This was the end.
With a jolt, the two year old buck awoke, his heart pounding, and quickly scrambled up onto his hooves. He snorted, eyes wide, wild. He flung his head, daring anyone to come out of the shadows and attack him, but no one came. He was alone. It had just been a dream. A nightmare. He shivered, trying to suppress the memory, but he could do nothing to stop the scene from replying over and over again in his mind's eye. It was how he'd arrived here, fleeing from the hungry jaws and greedy claws of a predator. He'd really thought he was going to die, then. Really thought his life was coming to an end. He snorted once more, hide damp with sweat. Still shaking, he began to walk forward, the silence of the forest making his audits ring. They twitched. Nothing. Nothing but silence. No-
"What the hell?!" He shouted, nearly jumping out of his skin at the sounded voice from the nearby swamp. He huffed, gritting his teeth, nowhere near a good mood after waking up from such a horrific scene. "Don't you know that some of us are trying to sleep?" the eight foot tall red deer retorted as he caught sight of the small fox padding across the moss covered terrrain.

Bryna had wandered forwards and backwards all over the place and so far she had not encountered another single living thing apart from the plant life. In addition, try as she might, she could not seem to find her way out of this forest. Everytime she thought she was crossing the edge of it she would appear on the other side as if transported by some magical loop. It was beyond frustrating but Bryna would not be cowed so easily!
In the meantime she'd made a habit of grazing on the succulent foliage that this forest provided and so far she was quite pleased with the variety of grasses. This mystical terra was a practical smorgasbord but even so there were many plants she didn't recognize. Plants that could be poisonous… or magical. The red deer sighed. She could really use some guidance or advice. Surely there was some trick to this realm!
Her ears flicked forward as a string of curses filtered through the bayou. Her heart leapt in her throat and she raced towards the voice. Normally such language would make her frown but she was was so overjoyed to hear the speech of another sentient creature that she quickly put it too the side.
It wasn't long before she came across a curious seen, a fox and a young red buck. "Oh my…spirits above I hope you two are real. I haven't seen another living thing since I wandered into this damnable forest. I'm Bryna. Who are you? Do you know where I am?"

(Rihtiel) "Without order nothing can exist - without chaos nothing can evolve." Rihtiel’s paw slid across the slippery surface of a rock and he nearly lost his balance. After falling over and over, he finally found his footing and refrained from collapsing into the muck again. He had some of the disgusting slush sitting in his belly, and it clung to his throat, making him want to vomit, which he would force himself to later. There was no way he was going to sleep with the rotting mud in his gut. The fox scrunched up his face as his nose went into overload, confusing him and giving him an intense headache. Why his father had to get it on with his mother was beyond him. And why his mother would allow a diseased fox to give her children was an idiotic move. But the result was Rih, and while his life was miserable, he was glad to have it. Sighing heavily and forcing himself to calm down, he turned his nose to the sky and painfully opened his eyes. The filmy silver cover kept him from seeing much, for his vision was blotchy at this angle. He saw blue, but the majority of the sky was black due to his blindness. Grinding his muddy teeth together, he turned around. Cocking his head heavily to the side, he tried to see through the film and find his way to solid ground.
Before he could take a step, a booming voice came from behind him which startled him off his paws—literally. He had jumped a few inches from the ground and let out a yelp, spinning around with bared fangs. Rih tried to raise his hackles but they were slicked down with mud, and so he was quite a pathetic sight to behold. Because of his eyes, and his other senses practically useless, he was unaware of what was in front of him. The fox didn’t speak, but he stood up straight and peered at the being. He was oblivious to the fact he was staring at the deer’s legs, but he spoke to them as if it were a face. “Oh boo hoo, cry me a river, Guy.” He snapped, flattening his ears to his head aggressively. He hadn’t thought to look up at the rest of the creature because he simply didn’t know it was there. Rih prepared himself for a verbal fight with the strange stick looking creature in front of him when a sloshing sound caught his attention and he quickly turned to defend himself. There was another stick animal! The fox squinted at what he thought was the entire creature until she suddenly spoke. It was then did he tilt his head up and stare at the deer with a fogged gaze. What the hell…
“Oh Gods, what are you?!” He stammered, stepping back quickly. He was blind, tired, hungry, and weak. There was no way he could defend himself against something that big. It was huge! He didn’t even come up to its knee! What about the other? Rih quickly switched his gaze to the masculine voice and turned his head up. It was difficult to make out what it was exactly, it looked like a tree. But it was in fact, a deer, and a very large one. Their size suddenly dawned on him and a hot wave of fear surged through his body, making his white and brown eyes grow larger. He felt very vulnerable, very small, and very alone right now. Oh, how he could definitely use a friend to ward of these monsters! The fox cleared his throat suddenly, processing what the female deer, known as Bryna, had said. “You haven’t seen anything? Imagine how I feel.” He gulped, taking another few steps back and slipping into a mud pit. Rih was too frightened to run, so he sat there, letting the rotting mud cling to his body and sink his paws. “I’m Rihtiel. And I can’t speak for Tree Beard over there, but I don’t know where we are.” His intentions were not to insult, but to humor his way out of this potentially dangerous situation. Rih tried to get a better look at the two creatures, but his body was too shocked and he couldn’t focus on the blurry images in front of him. Guess he’ll just have to wait and pray he wasn’t pummeled.

ooh: sorry for the shortness, I've been so scatterbrained lately, also sorry for going out of order, I wasn't paying attention. xD ic:
Bryna stumbled back at the fox's reaction and she felt bad fore startling the creature so. He frizzed up and stared up… near her but not quite at her. It was then Bryna noticed that the poor beast was blind. A light film seemed to skim across his eyes and she flinched. She couldn't imagine what it was like to have one's vision impaired. He seemed genuinely terrified and Bryna' slowly laid down on her side to try in the hopes that lessening her height might help the fox relax. "I'm a red deer, don't worry I wouldn't harm you." She figured the last part might be useful just in case. She certainly couldn't imagine eating another animal and meant no harm to the fox.
He introduced himself as Rithiel and clearly he had no idea where he was either. She felt a bit bad about her earlier comment. Letting out a sigh Bryna spoke, "Ah… well, we've certainly landed ourselves in quite the situation here." And she had no idea how to get out of it but at least for the moment she wasn't alone. Glancing at the buck she asked, "I don't suppose you've had much better luck in finding your way out of this forest? I've tried everything I can but it seems we're stuck here."
