She lumbered through the thick grass with relative ease, her frame neither inflated nor bony. She was of average build for a female brown bear, though perhaps she was a bit taller than the average girl. Speaking of height, the woman lifted her front half off of the soft earth and stood upward, paws curling down in a harmless manner, four-inch claws extended as usual. Her jaws hung agape, pearly white fangs glistening in the sunlight. The meadow appeared to be empty, even the upthrust rock was vacant. Percy snorted, rounded teddy-bear ears tucking back over her skull with disappointment.
"Where is everybody?" A somewhat playful voice rang out. She was confused about this land, and was hoping to find someone in this great meadow and ask them just where she was. The last thing she'd remembered.. well honestly she didn't remember it. All she knew was she'd been asleep, dreaming.. perhaps. When Percy had awakened, she'd been in a totally different land. The creatures here looked different, perplexing almost.
"Hellooooooo?" She called out again, alto vibrato carrying half a mile before trailing off. She shifted from her standing position, front paws thudding to the earth and carrying her toward the rock where she hoped she could get a better view. No doubt the deer would scatter from her presence. She was an apex predator, she knew it, but the ones in her previous home had eventually gotten used to her and knew she meant no harm. Would these learn as quickly? Would they even try?

blackbird.
Life. Death. She still wasn't sure where she belonged yet. The gods never gave her an answer, and she'd only ever seen Estreya. It was Rottair she needed to speak with. He seemed like he'd be the one to create the vile, tainted potion.
Blackbird pondered over this life and death question almost every day. Until she got an answer, her life (or perhaps lack thereof) had no meaning. It probably wouldn't have meaning even if she did get her answer. Did it really matter? No, nothing mattered.
The drab ebony doe slowly picked her way through the long meadow grass. She always felt so tired, but she was sort of used to the feeling by now. She could never completely wear herself out, but neither could she feel energized. Not only that, but she was always so hungry and thirsty. Eating and drinking never helped, not even for the second the food or water would touch her parched tongue.
Ah well. It was time to explore this meadow today. It seemed the gods had recently created it because it had never been here before. At least not that she noticed anyway.
Blackbird scented a predator somewhere, but she worried not. Nothing could do any harm to her really. Claws and teeth could definitely puncture and tear her skin, but the damage would eventually just disappear from her hide, to be replaced not by healthy skin, but the dead stuff that'd been there before. It was quite weird.
From the scent she could recognize it as a bear. She'd only met one bear before. He was a quiet one. Maybe a mute because he didn't utter a word. That was back when she was normal.
Orange eyes spotted the beast heading toward a large boulder, and without hesitation, Blackbird called out to the brown animal. "I doubt you'll find any of your kind here, bear." her voice rasped. She didn't bother clearing it. That would have absolutely zero effect.

The forest was alive, quite literally - in fact. Almost everywhere she went some small creature (or occasionally large ones) went scurrying off, fearful of her great size and stature. Persephone only wished she could explain to them before they fled that she meant them no harm. Very rarely did she taste blood, for she'd sworn a long time ago to feed off of plant matter and not that of living creatures. The plants did not call out in tragedy as they died, they did not look up at her with stony eyes in a bleak and motionless expression, they did not strike sadness and woe into her soul when she consumed them. Yes, the plants were much easier and less depressing to feed upon, and they were there for that reason, were they not?
As her right front paw swung forward to balance upon the first rock of the ledge, a voice called out. Since she was the only being in the meadow at this hour, Percy only assumed that the voice was speaking to her. "I doubt you'll find any of your kind here, bear." The behemoth she-bear turned her frame to face the voice, noting a dark and almost sinister-looking doe. She was black in color, and appeared very.. different. "Oh that's alright, I'm not looking for any particular kind." Though her voice was a deep alto medley, it was laced in kindness and not a hint of ill-will. She dared not mention the doe's strange looks for fear of offending her and losing the only company that she had.
"What is it that brings you to the meadow today, friend? I was just exploring and stumbled across it. Funny though.. I swear I've been by before and haven't seen it." By the questioning tone in her voice she was hoping to receive some sort of confirmation that she wasn't crazy. Though Persephone had only been here a few days' time, she had stayed in relatively the same general area, and this meadow had never before been seen by her amber eyes. The she-bear rocked back into an awkward sitting position, but one that was comfortable and well-known by her own kind. Her jaws hung characteristically agape as she shifted her gaze between the ashen doe and the meadow.

blackbird. As the bear turned, Blackbird expected to receive some sort of harsh reply. Maybe even the bear, which she now suspected to be female, would even attack her.
So it came as quite a surprise when the voice had not a hint of ill sound in it. This was an odd bear; an odd predator, no less. Blackbird didn't think about it for too long, however. This was The Forest, after all. There were many strange beings here. Not only in appearance, but mindset too.
The bear began to ask a question, no doubt trying to make an attempt at talking. Well, the doe wasn't in too bad a mood today. Seems the new meadow may have lifted her spirits just a little. A very little. "You'd be correct, I suppose. Out of my 3 years I've never come across it. It seems one of the gods, probably Estreya, had a fun time making it." her voice spoke out, this time not as raspy and sickly as before.
Blackbird's bright orange eyes studied the bear once more. She couldn't help but wonder about this being. Maybe it had been a deer, but drank a Morph Potion and became a bear? In that case the poor soul had to be very confused.

Forepaws hung limply in front of her as her sides caved in and expanded in breathing. The woman was a behemoth, but rarely did she think of herself as such. Dwarfing the deer was something she'd gotten used to, and unless she saw her own reflection or shadow cast on the earth she rarely took notice of her gargantuan size and stature. The deer spoke up of gods creating this place. That was odd.
"You've been here for three years? I arrived just a few days ago.. Funny thing, I was sleeping one minute, and waking up in a totally different forest the next. And what about these gods? There are gods that created this place? How many are there?"
She tried not to sound too eager, but there was no disguising the genuine curiosity in her tenor voice. Her eyes lit up as she leaned in ever so slightly, literally on the edge of her seat while waiting for information from this deer who seemed to know about this strange land. Persephone liked it here, and she wanted to know more about who made this place, what they were like, and what kind of things she should expect while living here.
