"My name is Gordlum. I'm sure you've heard of me, but if you haven't, you will eventually.

That isn't important though. I'm here for you. You've recently entered this forest and it may have come as quite the shock. You can see vibrant colors now and you've noticed familiar but strange looking creatures and plants. Don't worry, I was the same way when I found the forest.

Let me start by saying you will never be able to leave the forest unless you die. Dying is every bit as painful as it is in the normal world. Once you die, your spirit and body leave the forest and you return to where you were originally – Earth. Once you die here, you can never come back. This is how our gods keep balance.

Yes, there are gods, believe it or not. You may be a skeptic now, but you'll change your mind once you see them for yourself. Anyways, they are the ones who made this place. Don't ask me how either; I get that question a lot. Estreya and Rottair are their names, and they control what happens here. For the most part they are benevolent and let "nature" take its course, but if you threaten this world in any way you'll be out before you can even blink.

Onto the creatures you might have noticed. They're all from Earth. They found the forest just like you and I did. They look strange because they found items left by the gods that could change their appearances. There are also potions that can do various other things. For example, I'm glowing white right now because I was gifted a potion that gave me immortality. I won't get into details but this is the outcome.

I think I covered most of everything. Oh! There are predators here, but no humans. The gods don't allow humans in because they think they're too "unnatural" or something of the sort.

That should be it. You'll find out things soon enough. Just explore around, you'll get the hang of it."
